Veterinary Graduate Placements

We offer a fantastic graduate development programme for talented and hardworking graduate vets, who are passionate about helping pets in need to live happy and healthy lives.

The 18 months rotating graduate placement takes place at our well-equipped Grimsby and London hospitals. It will provide you, a new graduate, with many excellent opportunities to advance your skills in small animal medicine and surgery in a friendly and professional hospital environment.

We’re proud of our superb clinical facilities. These include two operating theatres, digital X-ray, video endoscopy, ultrasound, multiparameter monitors, ASIF kit, KE ESF kit, air drill, ECG, dental X-ray, in-house lab and separate dog, cat and rabbit wards.

No two days are the same in a Blue Cross hospital. We pride ourselves in providing a very high standard of care. Working in a busy and rewarding charity practice you will see a huge diversity of medical and surgical cases – perfect to enhance your learning and grow your knowledge and practical skills.

We’re committed to you being the very best that you can be. Blue Cross will support your continued development with a generous CPD allowance, including paid CPD leave along with BSAVA membership. You’ll also have access to our award winning clinical guidelines. These provide valued assistance to all our vets in clinical decision making for a vast range of diseases.

We value our amazing people and will make sure you are fully supported, as a new graduate, every step of the way. Throughout your 18 month graduate placement you will receive expert support from our large team of vets. You will work alongside a Senior Vet, as well as having a dedicated mentor during your time at both our London and Grimsby hospitals.
