The Role
We are looking for a Project Officer to help us deliver Championing National Parks for Everyone (CNPfE). This is a National Heritage Lottery Funded project which is led by Peak District Mosaic and delivered in partnership with the Peak District, North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales National Park Authorities.
Championing National Parks for Everyone will deliver a range of opportunities to support people from diverse communities to visit, enjoy and work in the Peak District National Park. Working with diverse community groups and individuals in the urban areas surrounding the National Parks, including Sheffield / Manchester / Derby.
The project will deliver opportunities for people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds to connect with the National Park on a progressive model of increasing engagement, from visiting to volunteering and employment skills.
The project has been closely designed with communities and Peak District Mosaic to ensure that it meets the needs of different communities. It will be essential that the Project Officer continues to work closely with Peak District Mosaic and other local organisations working with diverse communities.
This role is an 18-month temporary post, to deliver the Peak District action plan created in the development phase. Overall management led by CNPfE Project Manager employed by lead partner Peak District Mosaic.
It will involve travel around the National Park and working closely with partners, trainees and volunteers recruited through the project.

About You
We are looking for a enthusiastic people person who has experience in working in the outdoors delivering high quality engagement. Enjoys building partnerships and has experience of delivering successful projects. You should have experience of working with diverse audiences: building relationships with partner organisations and communities; delivering community events; developing resources; trainee and volunteer mentoring; leading regular activity sessions.
