The Role
We are looking for a Welcome Volunteer Coordinator to help to oversee and manage a team of Welcome Volunteers dedicated to enhancing the visitor experience across the Peak District National Park. This includes coordinating volunteer activities, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives, and maintaining high standards of engagement, safety, and professionalism at various locations throughout the Park.

In the role you will be responsible for
• Recruit, train, and support volunteers to deliver a welcoming, informative and engaging visitor experience
• Provide clear guidance and regular updates to ensure volunteers are well-informed about policies, procedures, and current issues
• Plan and coordinate volunteer deployment at busy locations, including visitor and cycle hire centre hubs, carparks, local markets, shows and pop-up events
• Ensure volunteers provide a warm and professional welcome to all visitors
• Support volunteers in delivering accurate information about the National Park, its facilities, and activities

This is a fixed term role in until end March 2027.
