The Peak District National Park is a world class landscape designated to conserve the natural beauty and special qualities for the enjoyment of all. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Peak District National Park Engagement Team, to help connect people to the park and conserve the Park for wildlife, cultural heritage and landscape.

This placement holder will help Engagement Service to deliver its objectives and actions. The posts will work across the national park assisting the rangers, the access and rights of way team, property management and visitor centres in engaging with visitors and resident communities. This placement will have a particular focus on our volunteers helping develop and deliver a programme of practical conservation projects using volunteers from a range of backgrounds.

You will need:
- A commitment and a passion for working for the Peak District National Park Authority
- A commitment to undertake and complete the training provided
- GCSE Maths and English
- Basic IT Skills
- Driving licence

And finally you need to be prepared to work outside whatever the weather!

This post could be based in Bakewell or Grindleford in the Hope Valley.

This placement is for six months starting asap and working 25 hours per week (working pattern to be agreed with the placement holder but will include weekends and bank holidays).

If you would like to apply, please ensure you meet the Kickstart Scheme’s eligibility criteria set out above and the essential criteria set out above. Then contact your Work Coach at Jobcentre Plus for a referral. Once referred, you can apply through our online system.
