*The Authority is currently reviewing it's pay strategy. The salary for this post is proposed to be £28,371 to £33,820. We are also expecting an annual pay award for 2023/24 to be negotiated and this will be applied and backdated to the start date of the successful candidate once agreed. About the role
We are looking for people to come and work with us on the Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) programme, either full or part-time. Created by Defra and managed by us, FiPL helps farmers, land managers and others to deliver projects in the farmed landscape under the themes of climate, nature, people and place.

About you
The FiPL Engagement Officer will provide advice and guidance to applicants and assist the lead engagement officer to support a local panel created to assess applications. You’ll need to have considerable experience of working with farmers and land managers, a good knowledge of conservation, upland land management and access and familiarity with current agri-environment schemes. We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants from a farming background.
