The Role
Are you an experienced and visionary legal professional seeking a unique opportunity to help safeguard the stunning landscapes, special qualities and natural beauty of our national park? Look no further! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Authority Solicitor/Lawyer to lead our dedicated legal team in a breath-taking National Park setting.
As our legal lead, you will act as a passionate advocate for the national park’s key purposes, providing your legal expertise to provide advice, representation and support to our teams across the Authority. You will ensure that all legal operations are compliant with relevant legislation and regulations and in your role as Monitoring Officer will ensure that we are operating with good governance.
We are looking for someone to drive innovation, exploring new technologies, methodologies and best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of legal provision across the Authority.
You will need to be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with advocacy practice rights, or equivalent, entitled to practice in England and with a current practicing certificate. You will also need to have experience of successfully managing a team of legal professionals, as well as significant experience of undertaking a wide variety of casework, ideally to include Planning & Enforcement. We are also looking for someone, preferably, with experience in either a local government, national park or countryside setting.
